A Mother's Day To Remember

I have to start this post with a simple, "I love you" to my kids and husband. They all made this Mother's day so special for me.

I want to say to Jason that you amaze me everyday. I am so blessed to be parenting alongside you. As we daily strive to raise Jacob to be a responsible, Godly man and to raise Amelia to be sweet and kind, I am daily reminded how blessed I am to be doing all of this with such a dedicated, honorable man. Thank you for all you did and helped the kids to do to make me feel treasured on Mother's day and everyday.

So, for the rest of you reading this...I awoke on Saturday morning to 2 dozen pink, beautiful roses and a very fun balloon.

This was followed by breakfast at my favorite breakfast place, The Original Pancake House. Then, I was dropped off at Antoine du Chez for 4 hours of uninterupted pampering! We spent the evening at George and Judy's celebrating with the family with a wonderful dinner and relaxing. Fabulous right? It gets better...Sunday morning I was awoke with breakfast in bed! Jacob made pancakes and Amelia brought up the syrup..too cute & sweet!

We then all headed to Lowe's to each pick out at least one flower to plant in our front flower bed. While Amelia napped and Jason supervised, Jacob and I planted. Now, I am not much of a green thumb...at all...but I love having flowers and it was fun to plant them with Jacob!

We finished up the day with a BBQ with our neighbors, and then I was blessed with some one-on-one time with Deb over coffee. It was the perfect weekend! Thank you family!

During this whole time, Jason was in excruciating pain from a tooth, which later had to be removed. But, he put on a smile and went through the day anyway, to make me feel special.

To my friends who are wonderful mothers, and particularly to my friend, Jennifer, who leaves on Sunday to FINALLY pick up her baby girl, Shiloh and bring her home..I would like to leave you with this verse:

"Many women do noble things,

but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;

but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
