December in Review

Oh man, do I have a ton of updating to do! We have had a very busy and festive month..no time to blog! So, this one is going to be a monster! Below are many, many pics from our crazy December. We were blessed with LOTS of family time...it will be hard to go back into the routine. The month started off with a visit from Shirley and Max, it was much needed and so much fun! The family really needed to be together during the holidays and love on each other. This was our first Christmas without our Papa Garrett, but he was here in spirit, and many spirits were drank to his memory! We felt him with us, we love and miss him everyday. During their visit, we went to the Parade of Lights and had a great time together, not to mention the 50 degree weather! GO GOD! Among other things we had a family baking night (and loved having Tim & Ive join us and drink Egg Nog & Play music til the wee hours of the morning!:), visited Santa, had lunch with our dear friends from FL., Charlotte, Ben & Evan, went to the Neil Diamond concert..just the girls :), did our traditional annual ornament shopping, finally had coffee & conversation with our dear friends & neighbors, the D'Ambras, had a wonderful Christmas Eve at George & Judy's house, a warm, quiet Christmas morning at home, and a wonderfully festive Christmas Day in Estes with my family. We spent New Year's Eve with Ken & Kris, which was much needed & our dear friend & neighbor, Bryan. Amelia & I were blessed to spend some time with my dear friend from FL., Andrea & her kids and even managed a lunch date with Meredith and Baby Jonas. We have gone non-stop this month, but have enjoyed it all. We are very grateful that 2008 is behind us and look forward to 2009 and what God has in store for our family. I was putting calendars together for the mom's this year and sat very overwhelmed at the blessings that have been given to me & my family, even in the midst of one of the most difficult years of our lives. I am so blessed to have my wonderful husband, he is supportive, loving and we have so much FUN together! Jacob is a great kid, and Amelia makes me smile and laugh everyday. We love you all and feel blessed to have you all in our lives. We pray that God blesses each of you in 2009.

I have to admit, when I am with Deb, I don't take pictures...she has the greatest camera...I just let her take them! :) So, I will be posting more once I get them from her! :)
