Before Jason married me, he was quite the avid camper. We camped once after we met and went white water rafting through the Royal Gorge, which was a blast...that was close to 6 years ago, and I don't recall camping since. Jason however, has gotten in about 2 or 3 a year, but for some reason I didn't end up on those trips. So, this last weekend we decided to put an end to my dry spell and headed out camping. We went to Lake Wellington, it is beautiful! Seriously, God has looked down on this site. The lake, the mountains, it's incredible. Through some conversation we found out that Susan Krodel's mom has had a camp site there for many, many years. So, they graciously allowed us, Ken & Kris and the boys and George & Judy to come up this weekend and camp on their site, and they joined us! We had a terrific time! We played in the water, hiked to a water fall, made S'mores, told stories, it was great. Amelia slept in a tent for the first time and loved it. I was nervous about being up there with her, not sure how she would handle it, but she did awesome! Jacob learned how to correctly row in a canoe, and then there was no getting him out! Here are some of my favorite pics...thank you Jim & Susan, we had a great time, and the time away from the city was MUCH needed!
The Red Hat with Grey Hair...hilarious! Long Story, but fun pictures!

Ashton & Amelia in the Hammock....too cute!

Amelia loves Jim & Susan's little dog, Molly...so cute...I had to steal a hug.

Amelia let Jim carry her a bit on the hike.

Tired Kids after the hike...tired Daddy too! :)

Jacob & His Friend, Grant, spent a lot of time in the canoe fishing.

I LOVE making S'mores, but loved it even more with Amelia!

Jim was able to rock Amelia to sleep after her sugar crash.
